My Story

I am in a beautiful age of 40 and currently I live on the Greek island of Lesvos, in the countryside, in peace. I enjoy the singing of the birds and the daily long walks to the sea.

I feel peace most of the time and that reassures me that I am in the right place and on the right path. I feel good in my body and I feel how my mind can stop and be still. I observe this balance with joy and a slight smile on my face.

Live fully

But there were times when it was completely different. From the age of 18 I lived in the wonderful city of Prague. I was young with a lot of energy and so I started to build my career and lived a very fast life. Work, study in a university, travel, night life with lots of friends – doesn’t everyone want to have such a FULL LIFE?

Maybe I need a change?

But with every year I lived like this, my health problems were increasing, such as allergies, eczema, migraines, but also constant colds, which I only suppressed with medication. I was working in finance and this job brought me more and more stress, which I could not process, and the best joy in my life was always when I bought a plane ticket to somewhere far away. Of course, I thought about changing the job, but after the monthly increase in my account, I didn’t really want to make a change.

At the age of 30, after a difficult breakup with my boyfriend, final exams in the university and taking care of the mortgage for finally “my” apartment, I stopped sleeping.. I was tired, but I couldn’t fall asleep.. I was like a zombie and I felt I would probably just die.. In the end, I chose the path of antidepressants and tried to find at least a little meaning in my life and start functioning as a “normal” person.

Unfortunately, I didn’t learn my lesson and as soon as I felt a little better, I stopped taking the pills and decided to LIVE FULLY again. I continued to work at the same position, despite the endless stress. It brought me enough money after all! But I couldn’t rest and I always wanted to do everything and be everywhere…

When the body says “enough”!

At the age of 33, one morning after such a “fully lived” weekend, I woke up with a pain behind my right eye and I was kind of blind on half of this eye.. I felt exhausted and thought it was another weird migraine. But it wasn’t.. In the hospital, I was diagnosed with an optic nerve stroke. A very unusual diagnosis for a young person.

Life (universe) stopped me because I ignored other signals in the form of health problems. I guess I could describe it as a total “burnout” with consequences.. even after months on various medications, my sight in this eye has not fully returned..

My big change

And this is where my transformation began. Everything changed in my life.. something immediately, something was formed and it is still being formed gradually. I went through all possible therapies to slow myself down, to move more inside myself and learn to listen to the needs of my body and also my soul.

Finally, after Panchakarma (Ayurvedic cleanse), I found out that Prague is no longer the place for me. Since then I have lived on all continents of the world and experienced what it is like to cut expenses to a minimum and live very simply.

It wasn’t always easy! After stepping out of my comfort zone, when I sold my nice and “safe” apartment, I encountered all kinds of obstacles… I had fear and doubts when I had to ask myself if this is what I want..

During my travels, I visited various meditation centers and began to listen to my soul. I understood that LIVING TO THE FULLEST means something completely different. It means living in harmony with all parts of yourself – body, mind and soul.

I also understood the beauty of simplicity.. and the healing power of nature

I completely changed my diet and started experimenting with my body to find out what is good for me and what is not. I have tried all possible types of diets and various cleanses on myself.

For example, after three months without sugar, dairy, gluten, and daily drinking fresh juice with beets, carrots and apples, the results were really visible. And not only on the body!

My journey further brought me to study holistic and nutritional therapy, which focuses on the balance of body, mind and soul through a natural, balanced diet and lifestyle changes.

This three-year study gave me a lot of answers to questions about my physical and mental health. I can say that it summarized everything I had been researching all those years before. And now I will be happy to share all the information, to inspire change and help to understand various (chronic) health issues.

Of course, my journey is not over yet and I also learn new things every day, I get new information, but I also make mistakes… which sometimes hurt…

Life is incredibly interesting and shows us how diverse everything is and that is, exactly, where the beauty is. It teaches us to accept that we are all different, that we are each completely original with our individual needs and also unique abilities.
